Webinar 02 - February 2025: Strengthening Families: The Critical Role of Fatherhood Engagement
Fathers play a vital role in the success of youth and the sustainability of families, yet system barriers and societal norms have diminished their involvement. This webinar explores the importance of fatherhood engagement and inclusive strategies to create supportive environments for fathers in family and youth work.
Through this impactful learning session, participants will:
- Learn why fatherhood engagement is essential to youth success and family stability.
- Reflect on personal biases that may hinder father inclusion in services and decision-making for youth, families and teams.
- Recognize and address the emotional and trauma-related needs of fathers, including the societal pressures that often silence their voices.
- Explore practical approaches to adjusting practices to build trust and foster stronger father-child and family relationships.
This session is ideal for peer partners; both youth and parent, service providers, and leadership teams committed to building equitable, family-centered systems. Join us to deepen your understanding, challenge your assumptions, and take actionable steps toward meaningful fatherhood engagement.
