Continuous quality improvement (CQI) is the complete process of identifying, describing and analyzing strengths and challenges and then testing, implementing and learning from (and revising) solutions. In child welfare services, this approach is used throughout the California Child and Family Services Review (C-CFSR) process. The Northern Academy offers a variety of CQI-informed trainings and resources for CFSR case reviewers and child welfare leaders interested in implementing CQI within their jurisdiction.
