One of UC Davis—Human Services’ primary objectives is to serve as a workforce development leader across the diverse field of human services. We understand the challenges and pressures agencies face on a daily basis, and we will work closely with you to provide training and other services that meet your shifting needs as you serve adult, children and families in crisis.
Training in this section focuses on the knowledge, evidence-based best practices, skills and resources human services professionals need to work effectively with clients experiencing trauma and other health and behavioral health issues. You’ll find courses in a variety of areas, including:
- Wellness, recovery and resiliency
- Employment, inclusion and integration within the service system of clients and family members
- Cultural competency and outreach to underserved and unserved populations
- Secondary traumatic stress of the helping professional
