Housing Support Program (HSP) Fiscal and Data Essentials
This one-day course provides fiscal staff with knowledge, skills and best practices for fiscal activities regarding the Housing Support Program (HSP).
Topics include:
- HSP fiscal operations environment
- Developing systems for quick funds disbursement while reducing the risk of fraud
- Utilizing the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
- Creating data systems for smooth reporting
- Eligible uses of funding
At the conclusion of this course, participants will know:
- How to evaluate HSP fiscal operations to ensure that program funds are disbursed quickly to program participants while reducing the risk of fraud.
- Tips for creating a data environment for smooth reporting utilizing the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
- Annual state applications
- HSP 14
- The allowable expenses for HSP

Fee Details: The program enrollment fee is 0.06 training unit per person for those utilizing their county contract. If not using a county contract, the fee is $255 per person. The fee for this 1-day program includes soft copy materials.
Training Format: This program will be offered online using Zoom. Login information will be provided after your enrollment is processed.

Those paying by check or with credit card, please have payment to us no later than two weeks prior to start of class.
To be officially dropped from the class, please notify us at least 10 business days prior to the training start date to drop a class and cancel the billing, or request a refund of fees paid, less a $30 processing fee (no exceptions). Substitutions can be done with a 48-hour minimum notice prior to the training start date. A 48-hour notice is needed to get all updated information processed.
