Advanced Coaching Skills
This advanced workshop is designed to deepen participants' coaching skills, enhancing their ability to facilitate impactful conversations, promote accountability, and drive performance. Through interactive activities, role-playing, and practical exercises, participants will refine their coaching techniques and develop strategies to implement in their organizations.
Coaching starts with believing in the potential of the people you work with and the customers you interact with daily. Whether you are a leader working with your staff, a caseworker interacting with a customer, or a team member working with your peers, the tools you gain in this workshop will help you develop long-lasting outcomes.
Participants will learn key elements of effective coaching, including the coaching mindset and essential coaching skills. These tools will help you prepare for conversations and ask powerful questions that inspire thought and lead to discovery. You will be able to put these skills into action, providing real-time practice, coaching, and feedback.
KNOWLEDGE:
K1 - Examine the strategies and philosophies for supporting others in shifting perspectives, improving performance, achieving goals and/or overcoming obstacles.
K2 – Examine active listening skills.
K3 - Explore types of questions and their impact.
K4 - Explain how the type, timing, and impact of a coach's questioning differs from that of the typical conversation.
K5 - Learn the importance of building trust and rapport and acknowledgment and messaging.
K6 - Explore the power of feedback in building competence and confidence. Differentiate between feedback and feedforward.
K7 - Explore strategies for navigating challenging coaching scenarios.
K8 - Understand performance coaching and its impact on accountability.
SKILLS:
S1 - Practice the common elements of listening effectively and other key elements of building trust and rapport.
S2 – Practice formulating and using powerful questions in coaching scenarios.
S3 - Demonstrate coaching skills and share feedback in real time.
S4 - Practice delivering effective feedback and constructive feedforward.
S5 - Role-play difficult conversations to build confidence and skill.
S5 - Practice techniques to set clear expectations and follow up on commitments.

Section Notes
Fee Details: The program enrollment fee is .12 training unit per person for those utilizing their county contract. If not using a county contract, the fee is $510.00 per person. The fee for 2-day class and includes soft copy materials.
Training Format: This program will be offered online using Zoom. Login information will be provided after your enrollment is processed.

Substitutions can be done with a 48-hour minimum notice prior to the training start date. A 48-hour notice is needed to get all updated information processed.
