'When Every Option Feels Exhausted, We Open New Paths Forward'
For social workers, case workers and service providers, there are moments that feel like the end of the road—every door closed; every strategy tried. For youth, the burden is heavier: disrupted placements, broken trust and the absence of lasting connections.
Complex trauma can appear overwhelming—but it’s exactly where thoughtful, creative responses matter most.
Request Child-Specific Complex Care Coaching—and give your team the space, support and strategies to explore what’s possible.

What This Is
A collaborative, real-time coaching space where your team steps back, recenters on the youth, and leaves with fresh, trauma-responsive strategies you can apply immediately. Sessions create space to pause, reflect and reframe—from “we’ve tried everything” to “we hadn’t thought about it like that.”
You’ll Learn:
- Deeper approaches for engaging youth with complex trauma
- Perspectives that foster relational and cultural permanency
- Expert support to reframe problems into possibilities
- Actionable next steps you can use right now
Why It Matters
“Without strong, enduring relationships, young people risk aging out without a single person to call their own.”—Alia
Our coaching helps teams renew energy and purpose; build creative, collaborative solutions; and strengthen outcomes by cultivating belonging, stability and lifelong connections.
How It Works
Each session is free of charge and centers the child or youth—honoring their story, culture and community—and equips your team to reenergize and reimagine the path forward. Each session is also dedicated to one identified child or youth and is not an open or drop-in coaching space. We focus on underlying needs—not just surface behaviors—and co-design strategies that restore connection and hope.
Who It's For
- County partners and providers across California’s System of Care
- Frontline staff navigating complex trauma, multiple disruptions, CSEC vulnerability or multisystem involvement
- Supervisors and managers ready to lighten the load—not add to it
Coaching Schedule (Live/Virtual)
- 2nd Tuesdays: 2:00–4:00 p.m.
- 4th Thursdays: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
If these times don’t work, tell us what does—we’ll find a fit.

Child/youth-specific case coaching sessions are learning-focused. These are not clinical assessments, nor can they be considered “staffing” a case. Case coaching sessions are opportunities to learn about best practices that can be applied to all children and youth. Recommendations or strategies that are discussed are best practices for working with children, youth and families. Information shared during coaching/consultant may be confidential under various state and/or federal laws and the county should ensure that all appropriate Releases of Information are on file.
