Transforming CalWORKs provides free statewide training, technical assistance and practice support to advance a broader shift in CalWORKs culture and practice toward a more family-centered, strengths-based and barrier-reducing approach to service delivery. In partnership with the California Department of Social Services, Transforming CalWORKs will help California counties build the skills, systems and organizational capacity to create more supportive, family-driven and effective services that build on families’ strengths and respond to their needs and goals.
Through this partnership, UC Davis Human Services and CDSS will build on counties’ existing efforts to better support families while advancing California’s broader vision for a more responsive, collaborative and equitable CalWORKs system – one that centers family voice and choice and supports meaningful progress toward family stability and economic mobility.
