IP-CANS Entry into CARES-Live Training (Webinar)

These live virtual training sessions will provide an overview of the Integrated Practice Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths assessment (IP-CANS) data entry policy and a demonstration of how to enter the IP-CANS data into the California Automated Response and Engagement System – Live (CARES-Live). Trainings will prepare placing agencies to comply with requirements issued in All County Letter (ACL) Number 25-10 - CANS Policy Letter.

Who Should Attend?

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the Child Welfare Digital Services (CWDS) project encourage all new California Automated Response and Engagement System – Live (CARES-Live) users to attend, including all placing agencies (County Child Welfare Agencies, County Probation departments, Tribes with a California Title IV-E Agreement), or Mental Health Plans (MHP)’s completing IP-CANS on behalf of a placing agency, to attend!

Placing agencies and MHP’s are welcome to attend any session and may benefit from coordinating attendance when partnering together or with counties within their region.
