Artificial intelligence is already reshaping how agencies determine eligibility, communicate with clients, detect fraud and manage caseloads at scale. This 90-minute executive workshop equips public assistance leaders with practical frameworks and tools to lead AI-enabled transformation with confidence, equity and purpose. Drawing on research from McKinsey, Deloitte and the Government Accountability Office, participants will explore human services case studies, examine five leadership competencies for digital transformation and develop a 30-Day Action Plan tailored to their agency. Whether exploring AI or piloting new tools, attendees will gain strategies to lead change effectively.

As California continues to refine Medi-Cal policy to improve access, accountability and program sustainability, organizations must stay informed and agile. This workshop provides an overview of recent and upcoming legislative changes affecting Medi-Cal eligibility and enrollment, including proposed work requirements, six-month renewal cycles and premium adjustments. Through practical explanations and real-world scenarios, participants will examine impacts on beneficiaries, frontline staff and organizational workflows. The session will also explore strategies for proactive communication, case management adjustments and operational planning to minimize disruptions and support continuity of care.
