This workshop helps participants identify populations with special needs and examines how special needs may make the individuals and families they serve vulnerable. The workshop will focus on identifying ways to engage populations with special needs and will help participants develop techniques and strategies to work effectively with vulnerable populations.
After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the purpose of federal, state and local disability access laws, regulations and policies.
- Understand service processes and procedures for individuals with disabilities.
- Engage comfortably and respectfully with individuals with disabilities.
- Respond quickly and independently to the service needs of individuals with disabilities.
