Utilizing CANS Throughout the Wraparound Process

This engaging, skill-building virtual training is designed to help Wraparound practitioners, supervisors, and system partners effectively integrate the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment into the Wraparound planning process. Participants will learn how to move beyond compliance-driven assessments and use the CANS as a dynamic, strengths-based tool to guide decision making, prioritize needs, and develop actionable, family-driven plans of care.

The training will walk through each phase of Wraparound, highlighting key opportunities to use CANS to inform team conversations, support consensus-building, and track meaningful progress over time. Through interactive breakout sessions, sample case scenarios, and ready-to-use tools, attendees will build confidence in translating CANS ratings into practical strategies that reflect family voice and choice.

This training is ideal for Wraparound facilitators, supervisors, clinicians, youth and family partners, and other professionals involved in assessment, team planning, and service coordination.
