This course provides APS supervisors with the foundational knowledge needed to oversee and support non-face-to-face investigations. As remote investigations become more common in APS practice, supervisors play a key role in guiding their teams on appropriate use, best practices and the integration of technology to ensure effective outcomes.
After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Explain the shift of APS practice to conducting more frequent non-face-to-face investigations and the role of the supervisor
- Identify best practices and technology that APS professionals can use when conducting non-face-to-face visits
- Describe the supervisor’s role in determining face-to-face contact vs non-face-to-face visits
- Evaluate the appropriateness of non-face-to-face investigations
