Prerequisite: Completion of the SOP Foundational Institute/SOP Foundations is required prior to attending this training.
Facilitating the development of case plans that are individualized, behaviorally specific and family-centered requires skill and expertise in applying SOP strategies, including high quality engagement and conducting a balanced assessment. This training will examine how to effectively engage families in the co-creation of case plans that speak directly to the unique needs of the family.
After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Apply SOP strategies to engage families in case planning and guide case plan development
- Develop at least two solution focused questions that work to engage families in creating the case plan goal and objectives
- Recognize the importance of utilizing a Safety Goal co-created with the family to guide case plan development
- Identify strategies outside of use of services to support behavioral change
- Recognize the importance of engaging and leveraging the family's support network in case planning
