Juvenile Court Process

The purpose of this web-based training is to assist the county welfare department and juvenile probation staff with knowledge and understanding of the juvenile court process as it pertains to Title IV-E eligibility requirements. The juvenile court exercises jurisdiction in dependency proceedings under Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC Section 300 and probation proceedings under WIC 601 and 602).

  • Preliminary considerations
  • What takes place at the hearing
  • Title IV-E Findings and Orders
  • Possible hearing outcomes

Through this online workshop, participants will understand the juvenile court process and be able to explain how Title IV-E Findings and Orders are essential to Title IV-E eligibility requirements.
