This half day course is part of the Findings and Orders series and covers the findings and orders for the Jurisdiction and Disposition.
About the Series
The Findings and Orders series provides an in-depth exploration of judicial findings and orders in child welfare court hearings. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of the legal processes and documentation involved in cases related to child welfare, focusing on key findings for jurisdiction, disposition, status review hearings, post-permanency hearings, and non-minor dependent review hearings. Through lectures, case studies, desk guides, and interactive discussions, students will develop a thorough understanding of the legal framework governing child welfare court proceedings and how to link court report narratives with recommended judicial findings and orders.
The Findings and Orders series will cover the findings and orders for the following hearings on different dates and times as follows:
- December 7th: 9am-12pm - Jurisdiction and Disposition
- December 7th: 1pm-4pm - Status Review Hearings
- January 18th: 9am-12pm - Post Permanency Hearings
- January 18th: 1pm-4pm - Non Minor Dependent Review Hearings
