End-of-Life Experiences, Services and Resources

Death is a natural part of life, and a good death requires thoughtful planning and informed decision-making. This training is designed to increase a Senior and Adult Services professional's comfort, skill and knowledge related to end-of-life experiences, decisions, services and resources. Participants will also have the opportunity to reflect on their own mortality through guided activities and discussion.

Learning Objectives

After attending this training, participants will be able to:

  • Define three end-of-life services and identify service offerings
  • Identify two examples of important end-of-life paperwork
  • Identify two signs or symptoms of active dying
  • Define the cycle of grief and provide one example of complicated grief
  • Identify three death and bereavement resources
