 Course Overview

This engaging, interactive training strengthens Adult Protective Services social workers’ ability to produce ethical, consistent and defensible documentation within the LEAPS system. Designed for journey-level practitioners, the course presents documentation as a core social work practice skill that supports sound professional judgment, equity, client safety and accountability.

Grounded in the NASW Code of Ethics, participants apply APS documentation standards through structured casework, guided review and editing exercises aligned with supervisory expectations. The course introduces a defensible documentation spine that helps participants clearly align allegations, evidence, analysis and findings without prescribing a single narrative format.
