This training provides a foundational understanding of dementia, which is essential to successfully working with and serving individuals living with dementia, their care dyads, services and resources.

After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Define dementia, including identifying two risk factors and two different types
- Describe two ways dementia impacts people at the individual and societal level
- Identify two dementia screening tools and describe the stages and progression of dementia
