Dementia Training Series: Foundations

This training provides a foundational understanding of dementia, which is essential to successfully working with and serving individuals living with dementia, their care dyads, services and resources.

Learning Objectives:

After attending this training, participants will be able to:

  • Define dementia, including identifying two risk factors and two different types
  • Describe two ways dementia impacts people at the individual and societal level
  • Identify two dementia screening tools and describe the stages and progression of dementia
