Dementia-related challenging behaviors are often a significant source of daily stress for individuals with dementia, as well as for the loved ones and professionals who care for them. This training is designed to increase APS professionals’ knowledge, skill and confidence in understanding and addressing dementia-related challenging behaviors.
After attending this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify common challenging behaviors
- Describe potential causes of challenging behaviors
- Recognize and apply common approaches to managing challenging behaviors
- Implement effective strategies and interventions
