This interactive course supports professionals who work with or collaborate with interpreters in human services settings. Participants explore the interactive nature of interpreter-supported communication, including process and pacing, confidentiality and cultural context. The course emphasizes collaborative strategies that promote clear, effective communication when interpreter support is used.
The training incorporates realistic scenarios in which staff and interpreters identify and practice skills that support transfer of learning and practical application in day-to-day work.
