This course provides eligibility workers with essential knowledge and skills to effectively navigate and utilize CalHEERS (the California Healthcare Eligibility, Enrollment and Retention System). This training also provides participants with information and tools for understanding the interactions between CalHEERS and CalSAWS.
During this training, we will:
- Provide an overview of CalHEERS and its role in California’s health programs.
- Examine the importance of the system for eligibility, enrollment and retention.
- Provide a step-by-step walkthrough of the CalHEERS interface and review key CalHEERS features
- Explore the eligibility determination process for CalSAWS and CalHEERS
- Troubleshoot common issues
