Anti-Racist Practice: Allyship Course for Wraparound

Allyship is an active, consistent, and ongoing practice where individuals in positions of systemic power work to dismantle oppression alongside those who are systemically disempowered. In this training, we will explore the concept of allyship specifically in the context of combatting racism within the Human Services and Wraparound profession. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the definition of privilege and what it means to have multiple identities. 
  • Value the importance of being an ally to individuals who are disadvantaged due to race/ethnicity in order to create a just and equitable society. 
  • Understand what it means to be an ally.
  • Learn what it takes to fulfill the duties of allyship and develop a plan for action.
