Trauma-Informed Supervision in APS (eLearning)

Designed for both new and experienced APS supervisors, this course emphasizes the supervisor’s role in promoting the physical, emotional and psychological safety of staff. Participants will learn the fundamentals of trauma-informed supervision, explore the Six Core Principles of Trauma-Informed Care and discover practical strategies and tools to foster staff well-being, trust and collaboration in the workplace.

After attending this training, participants will be able to:

• Describe trauma-informed supervision and its benefits on employee growth
• Explain how to apply each of the Six Core Principles of Trauma-Informed Care in supervision
• Discuss approaches that build trust and transparency in supervision
• Describe strategies that promote collaboration and peer support among staff
• Identify practices that support and promote staff wellness

NOTE: This course is self-paced and can be started and completed anytime between July 1 and June 30.
