Structured Decision Making T4T (Sacramento County)

Structured Decision Making (SDM) is a case management system designed to help child welfare workers assess risk and safety concerns in families and inform decisions regarding the appropriate level of service and intervention throughout the life of a case. This training will help participants gain an understanding of performing assessments utilizing the web-based SDM system.

After attending this training, participants will be able to:

  • Utilize the priority response tool for hotline and screening
  • Conduct safety and risk assessments during investigation
  • Complete the needs and strengths assessment
  • Utilize the reassessment; reunification; risk reassessment; and safety assessment tools for family reunification and maintenance cases
