Reflective Supervision in Child Welfare with Simulation-Based Learning
Course Overview
This groundbreaking and immersive 1.5-day reflective supervision training offers a dynamic blend of theory, simulation and practice to help attendees strengthen their ability to facilitate reflective supervision with compassion, empathy and cultural responsiveness.
Day 1 of this training focuses on deepening understanding and skill building through exploration of core principles, the parallel process between supervision and direct practice, and strategies to enhance self-awareness, cultural competence and resilience. Interactive peer discussions and exercises support the development of confidence in engaging staff in meaningful reflection.
Day 2 offers a half-day simulation lab that provides a safe space for practice, feedback and integration. Participants will engage in realistic scenarios, receive feedback from facilitators and peers and reflect on their practice to reinforce key concepts and foster learning transfer.
