October 2025: Understanding the System of Care: An Overview for Peer Partners and Community Partners

Join us for an engaging and informative webinar that explores the System of Care (SOC), a framework designed to support children, youth and families through a network of coordinated services. This session will provide an overview of how Child Welfare, Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health and Tribal partners operate, how they interact, and how families and professionals can work together effectively.

We'll cover essential topics, including:

  • System Overviews - What Child Welfare, Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health and Tribes do, and how they connect within the System of Care.
  • Confidentiality and Information Sharing - Understanding rights, protections and responsibilities across systems.
  • Teaming Practices - How families, peer partners, tribal partners and professionals collaborate to create effective support plans.
  • Cross-System Communication - Ensuring consistent, family-centered, culturally respectful and community-grounded care.

This webinar is designed with peer partners in mind but is open to tribal partners, system professionals and anyone interested in learning more about how the system functions. Whether you're new to this work or looking to refresh your understanding, this session will provide a helpful foundation and practical insights.
