Long Term Care and Home and Community Alternatives in Medi-Cal
Long-term care cases present some of the most challenging scenarios in Medi-Cal eligibility. This comprehensive workshop equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to evaluate complex cases involving institutional care.
Participants will explore key topics including:
• Definitions and levels of care
• Budgeting and property assessments
• Determining maintenance needs for the community spouse
• Calculating income and resource allocations for spouses and dependent children
• Share of Cost determinations
Through hands-on exercises and real-world examples, attendees will learn how to accurately assess eligibility for individuals requiring Intermediate Care or Skilled Nursing Facility services.

Fee Details: The program enrollment fee is .06 training unit per person for those utilizing their county contract. If not using a county contract, the fee is $255.00 per person. The fee for a 1-day class, and it includes soft copy materials.
Training Format: This program will be offered via remote learning using Zoom. Login information will be provided after your enrollment is processed.

Those paying by check or with credit card, please have payment to us at your earliest convenience.
To be officially dropped from the class, please notify us at least 10 business days prior to the training start date to drop a class and cancel the billing, or request a refund of fees paid, less than a $30 processing fee (no exceptions). Substitutions can be made with 48-hour minimum notice prior to the training start date. A 48-hour notice is needed to get all updated information processed (no exceptions).
