Leadership At Any Level
About the Course
In this four-part series, participants will get a chance to step back from the daily demands of their work to consider how to exercise leadership at any level and make progress on some of the biggest challenges facing their team or agency’s efforts to provide effective senior and adult case management services. We will spend the day learning and practicing adaptive leadership, a framework that offers practical tools for change-making, combined with strategies to maintain our resiliency—and our sanity—during times of uncertainty and disruption.

Who Should Attend?
“Adaptive leadership” refers to a skill set or approach that is relevant for all individuals, not only those in supervisory or management roles. We welcome the participation of both individuals and teams who want to use the space and tools provided to begin making progress on their biggest challenges. Because we view leadership as an activity, rather than a role, the workshop is open to anyone, at any organizational level within county health and human services agencies, who feels motivated to catalyze positive change on behalf of the children, youth and families you serve.
What will I learn in this training?
Through their engagement in the course, participants will:
- Receive an introduction to the key ideas of Adaptive Leadership and how they can be applied to catalyze and manage needed change
- Identify and begin to address an important work-related challenge within one’s own work, team, or agency
- Learn to make smarter and more strategic interventions that can generate progress on their biggest challenges related to delivering the best case management services to senior and aging adults
- Gain strategies to increase their resiliency and ability to sustain themselves in the work of leadership for as long as possible
Please note: Completion of part 1 and part 2 of this series is required in order to attend parts 3 and 4.
