Involuntary Service Planning for APS Professionals (eLearning)

This course equips Adult Protective Services professionals with the knowledge to identify involuntary interventions and determine when their use is appropriate. It explores the ethical considerations surrounding these interventions and outlines best practices for case review and collaboration. Participants will learn how to take informed, ethical action when an involuntary case plan is necessary.

After attending this training, participants will be able to:

• Explain what an involuntary intervention is and when it is appropriate
• Identify ethical issues in using involuntary interventions
• Recognize the importance of a case review to determine when an involuntary service plan is necessary
• Prepare documented evidence to successfully collaborate with partners
