This 2-hour refresher course is part of the required training curriculum under the California High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) Center of Excellence (COE) and is intended to build alignment and a shared understanding of the Family Specialist role within the California HFW model. Designed for current and returning Family Specialists, this course revisits the purpose and value of the Family Specialist role, clarifies the key responsibilities of an effective Family Specialist, and reviews the foundational skills that support family engagement, care coordination, effective teaming, and fidelity. By the end of the session, participants will have renewed confidence in their role and a clearer understanding of the core skills and responsibilities that contribute to effective family support and service coordination.
