Effective CFT Meetings (Virtual Training)

This training provides participants with basic teaming and meeting knowledge and skills. Utilizing the Integrated Core Practice Model (ICPM) as the foundational guide for Child and Family Team (CFT) Meeting social workers, participants will:

  • Develop awareness of ICPM practice behaviors related to teaming and CFTs, including SOP and cultural humility
  • Learn CFT mandates from CCR and best practices
  • Gain awareness of the social worker’s role in the CFT meeting (Before, During and After)
  • Develop ideas on reaching a decision to provide safety and protection in the least intrusive/least restrictive manner

Participants will have opportunities for hands-on facilitation practice and will be equipped to team and engage with child, youth, non-minor dependent and parents before, during and after the child and family team meetings across the intervention continuum that address safety, permanency, and well-being.
