CWS/CMS Placement (Virtual)

This class provides an introduction for participants to learn how to record out-of-home placements and create placement documents in CWS/CMS. After attending this training, participants will be able to perform the following functions in CWS/CMS:

Record temporary, non-foster care placements, and foster placements
Enter necessary data into the client management section
End placements
Correct errors in placement notebooks
Create placement forms in both the client and placement section

Tomas Loarca

Tomas Loarca, M.S.W., has worked as a California child welfare social worker for 10 years. His experience spanned from front-end prevention to adoptions/permanency. Loarca worked to build collaborative relationships with community organizations that resulted in a reduction of local child welfare intervention. Loarca has been an instructor for UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education for over 5 years. He specializes in CWS/CMS, SDM, SafeMeasures, CANS, SOP, team facilitation and other child welfare subject areas.
