CWS Clerical Support Staff Training: Introduction to CWS/CMS and Computer Skills (Virtual Training)

This course introduces students to basic navigation in CWS/CMS.

After attending this training, participants will be able to:

Navigate within CWS/CMS
Search for clients and open old referrals and cases
Understand client services sections, notebooks, pages, and fields
Access CWS/CMS resources (training portal, help menu, toolz)

Participants will learn basic skills needed to navigate CWS/CMS.

Tomas Loarca, M.S.W., has worked as a California child welfare social worker for 10 years. His experience spanned from front-end prevention to adoptions/permanency. Loarca worked to build collaborative relationships with community organizations that resulted in a reduction of local child welfare intervention. Loarca has been an instructor for UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education for over 5 years. He specializes in CWS/CMS, SDM, SafeMeasures, CANS, SOP, team facilitation and other child welfare subject areas.
