Crisis Intervention and De-Escalation with Foster Youth and Caregivers (Virtual Training)
This interactive workshop equips child welfare professionals with proven crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to stabilize challenging situations while maintaining safety and trust.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of their role in crisis response, learning to ground their interventions with purpose while navigating the complexities of youth and caregiver dynamics. Through hands-on exercises, participants will practice strategies to manage escalations, promote stability and ensure positive outcomes. Designed with the needs of Family Urgent Response System (FURS) mobile response teams in mind, this training provides actionable skills to enhance child welfare case management services.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
