Clinicians in Wraparound
This training will utilize a collaborative style learning opportunity to discuss and strategize the barriers and concerns of clinicians/therapists working on Wraparound teams, CFTs and/or other areas within the teaming process. Current policies, procedures and strategies are provided to increase confidence in the ability to collaborate without breaking confidentiality. The group will review how clinicians can collaborate with and utilize the specific members of the Wraparound team to expand the therapeutic reach outside of the individual session. We will also discuss therapeutic modalities optimal for the Wraparound process, case conceptualization and treatment planning as a team, while making recommendations for higher levels of care and aftercare.
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Identify challenges unique to therapists/clinicians working on/with Wraparound teams
- Create open discussions to share and brainstorm solutions
- Identify and resolve any gaps between clinical training in office vs. clinical services in non-traditional settings
- Clarify confidentiality (and limitations) for clinicians working with Wraparound teams
- Understand the value of collaborating with the Wraparound team to improve the outcomes for the child/youth and self
- Increase comfortability, confidence and efficacy of therapists/clinicians working on/with Wraparound teams
- Become familiar with therapeutic treatment modalities that lend themselves to the Wraparound process and timeframes
- Learn to work with a team to create case conceptualizations, goals for the family plan and to make recommendations for aftercare
