CalFresh Boot Camp
This comprehensive, three-day program provides eligibility workers with critical knowledge and skills necessary to administer the CalFresh program. The series addresses overarching eligibility concepts, as well as practical skills necessary for taking appropriate actions in both new and continuing CalFresh cases. Learners will have the opportunity to apply the concepts taught in this workshop during discussions of realistic case examples.
By the end of this training, eligibility caseworkers will have gained greater confidence in their ability to administer the CalFresh program for applicants and recipients. They will have increased knowledge of both financial and non-financial eligibility requirements, as well as a clearer understanding of prospective budgeting concepts. They will be better prepared to correctly process CalFresh applications, redeterminations, SAR 7 reports, and correctly determine when a mid-period action is appropriate.
