August 2025: Human Trafficking Awareness:  Impact on Young Boys and Men (Part 2)

This webinar is designed to be an introduction to the topic of Human Trafficking, an overview of related laws, and an examination of how the State of California is currently responding to this emerging threat. It will specifically address the impact of commercial sexual exploitation and forced/exploited labor of young men and boys.  This webinar will provide an overview of applicable laws, California’s law enforcement and victim service approach and will highlight case management strategies consistent with a trauma informed care and victim centered approach.

Presenter: 

Benjamin Thomas Greer, JD, MA, is a former special deputy attorney general, California Attorney General’s Office. As a specializing deputy attorney general, he was the lead member of the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Special Projects Team, he co-chaired the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Work Group, and he was the primary author of the report released in 2012, “The State of Human Trafficking in California – OAG.” He is currently a senior instructor with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services’ Specialized Training Institute and a founding member of the Human Trafficking Investigations and Training Institute.
