ABAWD Work Requirements: Compliance, Exemptions, and Case Management
This interactive workshop provides a comprehensive overview of the work requirements for individuals classified as Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) under federal and state guidelines. Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills to identify ABAWDs accurately, apply exemption criteria, monitor compliance, and execute appropriate case actions. Designed for professionals involved in public assistance programs, this training ensures participants are equipped to maintain program integrity while supporting client success.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
• Identify individuals subject to ABAWD work requirements based on current policy definitions.
• Apply exemption criteria accurately and consistently.
• Track months of compliance and non-compliance using approved methods and documentation standards.
• Implement appropriate case actions, including timely notifications and procedural steps, in response to participant status changes.

Fee Details: The enrollment fee for this ½ -day class is $127.50 per participant or .03 training units for those utilizing their county contract. This fee includes quality instruction from subject-matter expert(s), research-based curricula and all digital course materials.
Training Format: This program will be offered via remote learning using Zoom. Login information will be provided after your enrollment is processed.
