Writing SMART Objectives

This workshop will address engaging families to participate in developing and writing SMART objectives. Participants will explore strategies to engage families and the Stages of Change. Participants will examine team-based methodology that is focused on behavioral changes. Course content will also emphasize writing behaviorally based SMART objectives.

Topics Include:

• Explore strategies to engage families to participate in goal setting
• Identify objectives which are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Results Oriented, and Time limited(SMART)
• Understand how to Review and Revise objectives to meet the needs of the family
• Indicate areas needing improvement on poorly written objectives
