Workplace Wellness Exchange: Putting It into Practice

Enjoy a transformative day with two interactive workshops. Get information and training on the nature of traumatic stress, as well as individual coping skills and social support strategies that, if implemented, may reduce the negative impact on work performance and individual well-being.

Workshop 1: Feeling Great about What You Do

Studies show that appreciation and recognition for a job well done are two of the most powerful motivators for accessing engagement and discretionary effort. In this session led by expert trainer Carl Rabun, we’ll focus on strategies for enhancing and sustaining personal feelings of engagement and how to get out of our own way to be a success.

Topics include:

  • Workplace motivators
  • Stress management techniques
  • Appreciation/gratitude
  • Feeling successful
  • Validation

Workshop 2: You’ve Got to Nourish to Flourish

In this session led by award-winning instructor Laurie Cozart, we’ll discover strategies that recharge your mind, body and spirit. First, we’ll examine compassion fatigue—what it means, how to recognize the symptoms and strategies for working through it. Next we’ll explore the concept of mindfulness, its benefits and how to put it into practice. We’ll also dive deep into the exploration of “self” in terms of the importance of self-awareness, self-reflection and self-care, and participants will leave with useful tools and strategies to apply to their everyday lives.

Please join us for an engaging day of discovery and growth!
