During this webinar you will develop an understanding of the specific needs the caregivers of youth with complex trauma have. In the challenging landscape of providing care for youth with complex care needs, effective teaming, collaboration, and enhanced communication play a vital role in positively impacting outcomes for both caregivers and their children. Whether the plan involves stabilizing the youth in a resource parents’ home or transitioning the youth back to their family , caregivers must be part of the team.
Through real-life examples and interactive discussions, we will examine the tangible benefits that arise from clear and effective teaming, communication and collaboration in caregiver support. This includes sharing knowledge and strategies to caregivers about the youth’s needs. In addition, we will discuss the crucial role of mental health therapists in the teaming process – and will discuss strategies to increase their participation and involvement. By addressing the specific needs of caregivers, we aim to enhance stability and overall well-being within the caregiving dynamic.
