This webinar provides a discussion about youth with developmental disabilities, and the effective ways how to work on permanency for these youth. This webinar also explains what intellectual and developmental disabilities are while also explaining the differences and providing examples. Services and support information are also provided in this webinar regarding many different subjects connected to developmental disabilities. Trauma and mental health are also being connected to developmental disabilities in this webinar. 

Presenters:

Dr. Scott is a licensed clinical psychologist in California and a practicing clinician and owner of Sin Diagnostics and support services. She is an assistant professor in the college of psychology at California North State University. She has worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the UC Davis Mind Institute where she received the national Ruth Christine research award for her autism research working for over 10 years in the disability field with both children and adults. She’s an excellent resource for supporting California partners in meeting the mental health needs of foster youth with developmental disabilities and promoting permanency for youth and families in foster care.
