About the Supervisor Learning Circles
In recognition of the vital and challenging role supervisors play in the work of child welfare, the Northern Academy provides quarterly learning collaboratives and complementary learning circles as opportunities for child welfare supervisors to network and share ideas, successes, and challenges around supervision. The complementary learning circles provide an expanded opportunity for coaching, support, and peer-to-peer sharing as supervisors try on new approaches to supervision.
These collaborative learning opportunities will give supervisors a safe space to learn about and share new tools, techniques, and strategies to enhance quality supervision that helps support, develop and retain social workers.
Supervisor Learning Collaboratives
Participants are also encouraged to participate in the Supervisor Learning Collaboratives, offered separately one month prior to the learning circles, to learn new tools, techniques and strategies to enhance quality supervision; however, this is not a requirement to participate in the learning circles.
