This workshop focuses on the use of SDM in everyday supervisory situations. It includes a review of SDM policies and procedures and an opportunity to practice and improve upon the application of SDM tools during supervision. After attending this training, participants will understand how to conduct case readings for quality assurance purposes.
By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Coach social workers to gather family information using the SDM assessment tools
- Use the SDM assessment tools for supervision with staff
- Problem solve with staff using the SDM assessment tools when it comes to child safety and future harm
- Conduct case reading utilizing social work practice and the SDM assessment tools
