This workshop will explore guiding participants through developing personal awareness to navigate with Cultural Humility. Through leaning into communication and creativity, participants will explore how identity and culture challenge as well as allow us to engage with each other. Participants will explore how to navigate conversations around culture and conflict that may arise through diverse cultural experiences.
Topics include:
- Developing a deeper understanding of Cultural Humility, empathy and creativity from a personal and organizational point of view
- Defining and examine how Cultural Humility are applicable to engaging staff and families more effectively
- Exploring how understanding identity and intersectionality can be used to develop Cultural Humility
- Analyzing and implement concepts such as empathy, choice map and creativity can be used to support development of skills for Cultural Humility
