This one-day workshop is intended to support new and experienced SDM trainers affiliated with regional training academies and county staff development departments (trainers and field advisors) in deepening their knowledge and skills in teaching caseworkers and supervisors the skills associated with SDM assessments as a part of casework practice. In contrast to prior trainings, this one-day format will not be focused on how to train any specific curriculum (Common Core Assessment Block skills class or other curricula).
Workshop participants should bring the following:
- The most recent California SDM 3.0 Policy and Procedures Manual (Updated December 2017)
- Any curriculum materials such as case examples related to training questions
- Questions about the SDM assessments and strategies for teaching them
