Safety Organized Practice Training for Trainers

PLEASE NOTE THIS TRAINING IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR NORTHERN ACADEMY INSTRUCTORS
(who have either attended the SOP Foundational Institute or experienced using SOP in the field)

The Academy is recruiting trainers and coaches for Safety Organized Practice (SOP) training and support. If you have wanted to become an SOP trainer or coach, this session is for you! Additionally, existing SOP trainers and coaches are strongly encouraged to attend due to recent revisions to the SOP Foundational Institute that will be covered in the T4T.

SOP is an approach to child welfare that integrates a number of promising practices into a clear and consistent framework for social workers, supervisors, and managers. This two-day T4T will cover key components of the two-day SOP foundational institute, which includes and draws from approaches such as solution-focused strategies, Signs of Safety, the Structured Decision Making® system (SDM), trauma-informed practice, appreciative inquiry, and cultural humility, paying particular attention to the use of effective facilitation skills to link them together.
