Safety Organized Practice (SOP) for Supervisors

Supervisors are essential to sustaining Safety Organized Practice (SOP) in the field of child welfare. They both guide decision-making and promote consistency and depth of practice. As social workers build skills in SOP, they look to their supervisor for guidance and skill development.

This one-day session will focus on strategies for supervisors to improve their own understanding of SOP, and ways to support integration of SOP into the daily practice and culture of their agency.

Topics include:

  • The use of Practice Profiles and Case Review Tools
  • SDM and SOP integration
  • Tips for mapping

Supervisors are encouraged to bring their challenges, questions and their areas of struggle with SOP to this session.
