This training is designed to introduce staff who are new to remote learning to all of the features Zoom has to offer. The opportunity will be provided for participants to test their audio and video set-up to ensure the best possible remote learning experience. It will cover the tools utilized in Zoom for remote learning as well as programs that are used in conjunction with Zoom to promote transfer of learning. After this training participants will be prepared to attend remote learning opportunities and understand participant expectations.
Topics include:
- Syncing your phone with Zoom video when dialing in
- Muting and unmuting your audio
- Turning video off and on and incorporating virtual backgrounds when appropriate
- Utilizing reactions and participant voting tools appropriately
- Discussing etiquette for remote learning
- Exploring the whiteboard functionality
- Participating in Zoom polls
- Navigating breakout rooms
- Moving between windows when tools outside of Zoom are utilized
