Reflective Supervision: Foundation of a Relationship-Based Organization

This foundational workshop will provide an overview of Reflective Supervision and how this framework promotes and supports the development of relationship-based organizations. Through large and small group discussions and case scenarios, you will gain an awareness that relationships are important, how this relates to professional and personal development by attending to the emotional content of the work, and how this framework will help supervisors to develop appropriate responses to challenging situations. Through group discussions, a shared understanding will develop of relationship-based organizational characteristics and framework to create an organizational culture of trust, support and growth.

  • Understanding Reflective Supervision and relationship-based concepts
  • Reviewing Reflective Supervision characteristics that form the framework for interactions
  • Learning the key principles of Reflective Supervision: reflection, collaboration and regularity
  • Discovering the benefits of active listening: stop, look, listen, respond and learn
  • Exploring organizational shift strategies to implement and support organizational change management efforts
  • Recognizing the importance of and steps towards self-reflection and thoughtful observation
